Nobody gets excited about excavation and grading. It’s not the part of the project you’ll show off to friends. But it’s the part that determines whether your pool and patio hold up in five years or start showing problems.

Before we pour or install anything, we assess how water moves across your property — where it pools, where it drains, and what happens after a heavy Western Kentucky rain. Poor grading is one of the most common reasons pools and patios fail early: water gets under the structure, soil shifts, and you end up with cracking, settling, or standing water where you don’t want it.

We grade and excavate with drainage in mind from day one, directing water away from your home’s foundation and your pool structure instead of letting it collect. It’s precise work — get it wrong and it’s expensive to fix later. Get it right and you won’t think about it again.
