Chlorine and saltwater systems both keep your pool sanitized, but they work differently, and which one makes sense depends on your pool, your maintenance habits, and honestly your personal preference.

Traditional chlorine systems are straightforward and well understood — most pool owners have dealt with them at some point, and they tend to have a lower upfront cost. Saltwater systems use a generator to convert salt into chlorine automatically, which means more consistent sanitation and generally softer, gentler water on skin and eyes, though the equipment costs more upfront and needs its own maintenance over time.

We install and service both, and we’re happy to walk through the tradeoffs with you if you’re not sure which fits your situation — including converting an existing pool from one system to the other, if that’s something you’re considering.
